One of the joys and pitfalls about doing a PhD is that is it always in the back of your mind. Whether it’s concious or subconcious it’s always there. When trying to write it and you try and work on something else (so you don’t get burnt out from it) why is it that it seems to be the only thing that you think about. But when you want to think about it and need to get words on the page / on the screen nothing comes to mind. Some of the best places I’ve found to come up with great ideas is sitting on the toilet or in the shower. Unfortunately there is nothing to do but try and remember them until you can get back to your computer screen. Do you think I can remember anything by the time I get back??? Not on your freaking life.
Ahh, the joys of studying. If anyone can think of possible solutions to thins problem please feel free to let me know in the comments below.
